Hugh Alexander Phelps, 77, of Leesburg, GA passed away, Monday, June 10, 2024 at Emory University Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 15,2024 at 11:00 am. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Aaron McCulley will officiate.
Born in Poulan, GA, Mr. Phelps was retired from Proctor and Gamble and was of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman Phelps and Sarah Bozeman Phelps, a son, Ben Alexander Phelps, siblings, Mary Dunwoody, Walter Phelps and Paul Phelps.
Survivors include is wife, Jackie W. Phelps, children, Melanie Ellis (Justin), Jennifer Kaci Ferrell (Christopher) all of Lee Co., GA, brother, Preston Phelps (Kay), Langston, AL and grandchildren, Steven Alexander Simpson, Zachery Simpson, Allysia Ellis, Hudson Ellis and Emily Ferrell.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at Mathews Funeral Home.
