Hubert Matthew Conley

Hubert Matthew Conley, 83, of Dawson, GA passed away Friday, December 12, 2025. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Cordary Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Conley was born in Morgan, GA  and served in the US Army was retired from MCLB and was a member of the Herod Baptist Church. His whole world was his wife and grandchildren, Hubert loved fishing every chance he had, he loved his coon hounds and judging dog shows and he was a handyman, meaning , if it was broke he could fix it. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Lamar Conley and Eula Gertrude Johnson, brothers, Walter Conley and Jimmy Conley, sisters, Eunice Guiberson and Sadie Sills. 

Survivors include his wife, Gisela Conley, Dawson, GA, son, Mark Conley (Mary Elizabeth),Albany, GA, sister-in-laws, Connie Conley, Leary, GA, Vickie Conley, Dawson, GA, Becky Brazel, Dawson, GA, Jean Murphy (Jack), Tampa, FL, Lola Conley (Leonard Standley) and Vana Thornton all of Dawson, GA, Jaki Crowder (Jeff), Merietta, GA, grandchildren, Logan Mark Conley, Albany, GA , Samantha Coffman (Ben), Albany, GA, Garrett Luke Conley, Albany, GA and great-grand, Johnny Coffman.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at Mathews Funeral Home.
