Homer C. Casey

Homer C. Casey, 90, of Albany, GA, died Monday, September 26, 2011 at Athens Regional Medical Center, Athens, GA. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Minister Sam Hartline will officiate. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Albany, GA

A native of Worth Co., GA, Mr. Casey had resided in Albany all of his adult life. He was retired from Flint River Textile Mills and was a member of Eastside Church of Christ. He was an Army Veteran serving in World War II. Mr. Casey was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Christine Webb Casey, his parents, five brothers and a sister.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Ronnie Casey and Etta, Hull, GA, a sister and her husband, Shirley Cooper and Melvin, Lee Co., GA, two grandchildren, Rhonda Casey Burnett and her husband Robert, Renee Casey Knox, five great grandchildren, Christopher Ferrell, Casey Burnett, Mark Knox, Callie Knox and Allison Burnett.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
