Herbert Garner Mitchell

Herbert Garner Mitchell, 56, of Albany, GA died April 13, 2016 at his residence. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Westhaven Funeral Home. Pastor Arnold Stanton, Sr. will officiate. Visitation will follow the service.

A native of Hazlehurst, MS, Mr. Mitchell was born to the late William Louie and Bernita Fulgham. He graduated from Hazlehurst High School in Hazlehurst, MS and joined the United States Army in 1977. Mr. Mitchell moved from Germany back to the United States in 2006 and had thirty five years of Governmental Service.

Survivors include his two children, a son, Eric Campbell and a daughter, Jennifer Mitchell, two grandsons, Lewis Campbell and Julian Mitchell all of Germany, his fiancee, Cynthia Price of Albany, GA, his siblings, Robian Rose and her husband, Edwin of Madison, MS, J.B. and Beverly Mitchell, Jessie and Burniece Mitchell, Rose and Herbert Kelly, and Marilyn Shannon all of Hazlehurst, MS, and Elfrieda and Derrick Coleman of Canada.
