Helen H. Coxwell

Helen H. Coxwell, 91, of Albany, GA died Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Oaks at Oakland Plantation. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday at 4:00 pm at Leesburg Cemetery. Rev. Lee Smith will officiate.

Born in Birmingham, AL to W.T. and Annie Scott Hobbs, Helen was raised in Cuthbert and graduated from Cuthbert High School in 1950. She lived in Macon, Terrell County, and Leesburg, coming to Albany in 2014. Helen worked as a bookkeeper for Lilliston Corporation until her retirement. She and her husband were members of Leesburg Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents. she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Coxwell, her daughter, Barbara Ann Coxwell, a sister, Katherine A. White and a sister-in-law, Myrtle Coxwell.

Survivors include a brother-in-law, James E. Coxwell, Sr., a nephew, Eddie Coxwell of Dawson, GA and a step-daughter, Marilyn Sue Coxwell of Albany, GA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Leesburg Methodist Church, 117 Starksville  Ave. North, Leesburg, GA 31763.
