Helen Ruth Cash

Helen Ruth Cash, of Leesburg, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at the age of 91 at Lee County Health and Rehab. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, May 23, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro, Georgia. Mr. Ross Powell will officiate.

Born on January 1, 1934, to the late Newton and Erma Ivey Hall in Fayetteville GA, she dedicated many years of her life to her career with Georgia Power. Helen's heart had a special place for animals, particularly poodles, which brought her joy throughout her life. In addition to her love of animals, she had a passion for gardening, often seen nurturing her plants, enhancing the beauty of her home, a testament to her dedication to creating a welcoming environment.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, William Lamar Cash, Sr., and her siblings, Betty Morris and Gary Hall.

Helen is survived by her stepson, William L. Cash, Jr. (Kathie) of Leesburg, Georgia, her grandchildren: Billy Cash (Amy) of Leesburg, Georgia, Rebekah Powell (Justin), and Blake Cash (Darcie) of Hicksville, Ohio, great-grandchildren, Jackson Cash, Emery Cash, Dawson Powell, Rosie Powell, Kinsley Cash, Lincoln Cash, and Everley Cash.

Helen will lie in state at Mathews Funeral Home on Thursday, May 23, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
