Grady Paul Smith

Grady Paul Smith, 87, of Leesburg, GA., died Sunday, October 26, 2025 at his residence. A memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.

Grady was born in Camilla, GA to the late Earnest and Nellie Smith. He went on to graduate from Worth County High School in 1956. Grady was a veteran and honorably served his country for ten years in the United States Army, seven years in the United States Air Force and four years in the United States Navy. He went on to own and operate Albany Awning Company for over forty years.

Grady loved his family and enjoyed hosting his friends for fish fry's. He was a member of Chehaw Lodge 701 F&A.M. and the Hasan Shriners, where he was a member of the hospital transportation team and took children to the hospitals in Tampa and Gaveston. Grady also loved participating with the Shriners in the parades and was a member of the Scat Cats and Hot Wheel parade units. He was a member of Ralph Jackson Sunday School and Lakeside Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jamie Smith, two brothers George Irvin Smith and Earnest Edward Smith and a sister Gladys Demore.

Survivors include his wife Pattie M. Smith, his children, Geoffrey P. Smith (Haylee), Suzanne Collins (Sean), Rusty Smith (Renee), Luis Morales (Leith) and Maria Smith-Cudd (Ronald), seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
