Gloria Lucille Smothers

Gloria Lucille Smothers formerly of Leesburg, Ga. died July 4, 2011 at Lillian Carter facility in Plains, Ga. Memorial services will be held Saturday July 9, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
She was the daughter of Walter Ben Rudd and Helen Gloria Renner. Her two sons Gary Rudd and William Smothers of Leesburg, Ga., survived Ms. Smothers. Also four brothers Gene, Lewis, Roger, Buddy and sister Martha. Eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was a loving individual. In addition, as a homemaker and mother Ms. Smothers loved with no judgment toward anyone. She often opened her home to those in need or those struggling in life. She will be greatly missed. Ms. Smothers was preceded in death by her husband Oren Smothers a sister Minnie a brother Wade and two grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations payable toward funeral expenses.
