George Eugene "Juke" Wilkerson

George Eugene “Juke” Wilkerson, 82, of Edison, GA, passed away on the farm on April 17, 2026. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at 10:00 am at The Morgan City Cemetery. Rev. Michael Douglas will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

Juke was born on April 14, 1944 in Edison, GA to the late George William and Pearcie Sheffield Wilkerson. He graduated from Calhoun County High School in 1962 and attended South Georgia Technical School. Juke also served in the Alabama National Guard. Juke was a farmer by trade and loved farming and working the land. He was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, managing his ponds, visiting with his friends at Worthy’s, dog sitting Notch, and spending time with his good friend Jack Royal.

Survivors include his brother, Jimmy (Betty Ann) Wilkerson, brother-in-law, John Redding, his nephews, Mark (Tiffany) Wilkerson and Justin (Ginger) Wilkerson, his nieces, Cynthia (Tom) Walker and Carly Redding, his great-nieces, Ashlyn (Reese) Foster, Laurel Ann Wilkerson, Grace Wilkerson, Amelia Wilkerson and Katelyn Wilkerson and Lucy Walker.

He was preceded in death by his brother Larry Wilkerson and sisters, Levon Redding and Judy Herrington, and brother-in-law Frank Herrington.
