Gary Gene Reynolds, Sr.

Gary Gene Reynolds Sr, 71, of Lee County, GA, passed away May 5, 2026 at his residence. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 5:30 pm at Mathews Funeral Home. Bil Sadler will officiate. Masonic Rites will be conducted by The Tri County Memorial Club.

Gary was born in Columbus, GA on December 15, 1954 to the late Thomas Ray Reynolds, Sr. and Janie Smith Reynolds. Gary grew up in Columbus, GA and graduated from Hardaway High School in 1972. He moved to Albany, GA in 1979 and had lived in Lee County for the past 33 years. He was employed with Miller Brewing Company for thirty years before retiring in 2010. Gary was a member of Chehaw Lodge # 701 F&AM where he served as Worshipful Master in 2012. He enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, fishing, playing cards and shooting pool.

Survivors include his wife, Kathi Reynolds, his children, Gary Reynolds, Jr. (Ashley), Christopher Thomas (Dianne), Betty Jo Reynolds, Kelly Cape (Erin) and Ivy Pitts (Adam), his grandchildren, Breonna Reynolds, Emily Reynolds, Skyler Reynolds(Carra), Rylie Reynolds (Trent), Embrie Pitts, Delanie Pitts, Rowan Pitts, Emerson Chastain, Bristol Cape, Kileigh Cape, Cason Thomas, Larissa Lee (Colby), Starla Salas (Samuel) and Tina Sprinkle (Ross) and his great-grandchildren, Oaklynn, Sj, Sawyer , Michael and Brynnlee.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Mathews Funeral Home on Saturday.
