Gail Yvonne Beisel

Gail Yvonne Beisel, 68, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

Born in Albany, Gail had lived in Albany and Leesburg most of her life. She worked in the Food Service Industry working with several local restaurants including Merry Acres and retired from Applebee’s.

She was preceded in death by her witty husband, Andrew “Drew” Beisel, her father James Schramm and her favorite brother Kenneth Schramm.

Survivors include her mother, Opal Schramm. Her children, Beth Beisel, Kimberly Heath (Jason), Pam Sexton (Jeremy) & her baby boy Andy Beisel.   Her only grandson Joshua Beisel, and her hellion granddaughters, Hayley, Hannah & Harper Heath.  Her grandchildren over the years were her source of pride and strength. 

Gail loved to fish while keeping her motto of “What happens on the boat stays on the boat.”   She loved to hunt with her son-in-law, Jason, while never once shooting a gun or ever bringing her own toilet paper.   She loved to watch her granddaughter, Hayley, play softball and had a special fondness for all the girls in Leesburg that played on the Misfits.  She loved going to Disney and riding on scooters & purse snatching with her Hannah.   She loved being the special confidant of her first grandchild, Joshua, which they spent many nights rocking and watching their favorite tv shows.  And last but not least, she loved spending time with her youngest grandchild, Harper, which to her was like looking in the mirror as they had the same hair style.   

Her family would like to give a special thanks to Morven Baptist Church for keeping her so blessed and loved these past few years.  A very special thanks to the staff of the CCU at Phoebe whose kindness will never be forgotten.  And to Dr. Jani- we are speechless, thank you.
