Franky Wayne Hancock, Sr

Franky Wayne Hancock, Sr., 59, of Sylvester, GA died Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Etheredge will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM before the service.

Born in Moultrie, GA, to the late William Davis Hancock and Pauline Turner. Mr. Hancock grew up in Clearwater, FL, moving to Albany, GA in 1973. He was employed as a master mechanic and retired from the Dougherty County School System after eighteen years. Mr. Hancock was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and was a Master Mason and member of Worth Lodge #194. He loved his grandbabies.

Mr. Hancock was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Hancock in 2016. Survivors include his wife, Sandy Hancock, two sons, Wayne (Nicole Kendrick) Hancock and Danny (Kerri) Hancock all of Sylvester, GA, his siblings, Linda (Tim) Saunders of Locust Grove, GA, Judy Clayton of Moultrie, GA and David Hancock of Baconton, GA and his grandchildren, Riley Grace Hancock, Davey Hancock, Mason Hancock, Isabelle Hancock and Brodey Hancock.
