Esther Mary Eckstein

Esther Mary Farris Eckstein, 94, of Albany, GA died Wednesday March 20, 2019 at Wynfield Park. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Floral Memory Gardens. Rev. Ray Levreault will officiate.

Mrs. Eckstein was born April 21, 1924 in Pelham, GA. She will always be remembered as “The Crossing Guard” due to her twenty-three years of service at the corner of Highland and Slappey. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Eckstein, her mother, Julia Farris, sisters, Katherine Saba, Emma Deep, Jumelia (Jaye) Devane, Helen Solis, and brother, Fred Farris. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
