Erline Roberts Causey, 77, of Lee County, GA, passed away August 25, 2025 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery in Shellman, GA. Rev. Rodney Hudson will officiate. A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.
Erline was born on September 2, 1947 to Alex and Ruby Roberts, Jr. in Georgetown, GA. At 17 years old, she moved to Terrell County, GA and married Roy Alton Causey in 1965. Erline was employed by Yale Rubber Company (Oxford Manufacturing Company) before working at Riverside Manufacturing in Edison, GA as a Supervisor before its closing. She returned to Terrell County in 2008 and lived there before moving to Lee County in 2013. Erline loved her family dearly and enjoyed cooking, Baking, Yahtzee, card games and Crocheting. She was an active member of Central Baptist Church where she enjoyed being with the Ladies Groups for meetings and trips. She was a dedicated Christian Woman and loved her church.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Eddie Roberts and Kathy Roberts.
Survivors include her children, Loretta Diane Miller (Larry) of Hahira, GA and Kenneth Causey of Lee County, GA, her siblings, Alex Roberts (Sue) of Bronwood, GA, Gloria Hudson (Rodne) of Americus, GA, Ernest Roberts (Sonja) of Lee County, GA, Daniel Roberts (Tina) of Americus, GA, Joyce Hammock (Joe) and Martha Barfield all of Lee County, GA and Lorin Roberts (Faye) of Preston, GA, her grandchildren, Chris Rayburn and Heather Hartsfield both of Preston, GA, Cody Causey of Lee County, GA and Gracen Poole (Jacob) of Plains, GA and seven great-grandchildren.
