Emory Powell (Bubba) Lamb, age 66 of Pelham, GA., passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026. His Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 25th at Hand Memorial United Methodist Church, Pelham, Ga.
Bubba is a well-respected member of his community with over 40 years of law enforcement service in Dougherty and Mitchell Counties. He was then asked to fill a vacant Magistrate Judge position for Mitchell County. He served in this position for over a decade, finishing his career as Chief Magistrate Judge.
Bubba was one of those rare individuals who made every person he spoke with feel special. He never met a stranger. He was loving and very kind but also enjoyed teasing people. He lived to share his immense law enforcement and criminal justice knowledge and love with those he met. His friends were many, and his family was not limited by blood ties. If he called you one of his, it was a blessing. His grandchildren say of their Pa that he was the greatest grandfather and father, "the bestest ever".
Bubba is preceded in death by his parents Margie and Emory "Bo" Lamb, his brother Danny Lamb, sister Kathy Shier (Phil), granddaughter Hannah Faith Lamb, niece Jennifer Odom, and nephew Brett Lamb. Survivors include his wife Leslie Lamb, sons E. Jason Lamb (Danielle) and Joshua Y. Lamb (Rebecca), and grandsons Gideon, Jonah, Titus and Tristan as well as his brother Glenn Lamb (Rhonda). He is also survived by his aunts Cheryl Monzie (Joe) and Helen Rytlewski; his nieces Jessica Gaskin and Crystal Gregory (Michael), and his nephews Scott Shier (Diane), Alan Lamb and Hunter Lamb, plus many cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be given in memory of Emory Powell "Bubba" Lamb to Stitches for Mitchell County in Camilla [229-336-7030] a non-profit animal shelter, 4380 Puppy Lane, Camilla, GA 31730 or to the Georgia Sheriff's Boys Ranch https://georgiasheriffsyouth.org.
