Elonzo Willis Blocker

Elonzo Blocker, 85, of Baconton, GA died April 4, 2012 at Phoebe Putney memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, April 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery. Rev. Chris Tuner will officiate.

A native of Donalsonville, GA, Mr. Blocker had resided in Baconton since 1976 moving from Camilla, GA. He was a retired building contractor and a member of Lighthouse Ministries. Mr. Blocker was a WWII Navy Veteran.

Survivors include his wife of sixty two years, Margaret Blocker of Baconton, GA; two sons and their wives, Dennen and Wanda Blocker of Baconton, GA, Darren and Patricia Blocker of Stedman, NC; four daughters, Gloria Larkin and Cheryl Cross both of Baconton, GA, Patricia Stewart and her husband Steve of Albany, GA and Janice Hall and her husband David of Baconton, GA; a brother, Nolan Blocker of Bainbridge, GA; twelve grandchildren and twenty nine great-grandchildren

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
