Eloise B. Smith

Eloise B. Smith, 96, of Albany, GA died June 5, 2011 at Albany Health Care. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow in the Sale City Cemetery.

A native of Sale City, GA, born to the late Ruebin and Neoma Barnes Baisden, Mrs. Smith had resided in Albany since 1950. She was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church and was a former salesperson at Bennie's Bootery, Rosenbergs, Bama's and Vogue Casuals. Mrs. Smith was the widow of Clinton Hill Smith and was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jodie Diane Reever.

Survivors include two daughters, Jerlynn Watson and her husband, Bob, of Albany, GA and Jeannene Banks of Branson, MO, six grandchildren, Kristen (Richard) Sheriff of Carrolton, GA, Jackie (Joey) Wilkinson of Lee County, GA, Bruce (Yvette) Jones of Branson, MO, Debra Jo (J.R.) Hernandez of Mobile, AL, Angela (Curtis) Turner of Lee County, GA and Linda (David) Ponthier of Albany, GA, a niece, Susan Salgado, a nephew, Robert Luckey, seventeen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
