Elmer Hall

Elmer Hall, 98, of Leesburg, GA, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home. Pastor Randall Pruiett will officiate. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Hall was born in Tifton, GA on April 21, 1928, to Daniel and Sannie Hall. His family moved to Albany where he grew up and lived until he joined the Navy at 17 to serve during World War II, he was part of the greatest generation! Upon his return to Albany, he worked in the electrical trade until he joined the IBEW and moved away again to work on several steel mill sites in Pittsburgh and Detroit before returning to Albany. He started his own business, Hall Electric Co in 1962 and remained the owner operator until 1990 when he decided to retire at 62 and turned the business over to his son Randy.

Mr. Hall loved the Braves, Georgia Football and NASCAR. He loved to fish and play golf, but his number one enjoyment was going with his grandson Devan’s race team to watch him drive his race cars. Mr. Hall never missed a race no matter where it was. Mr. Hall was an avid golfer and served as course marshal at Flint River Golf course until he contracted covid in 2022 which forced him to give up golf and his duties as course marshal. Mr. Hall loved to dance at the VFW on Friday nights and continued until the illness made him stop.

Survivors include his son, Randy (Billie) Hall of Lee County, Ga, his grandchildren, Devan (Pat) Hall of Woodstock, GA and Shelbey Hall of Lee County, GA, 2 great-step-grandchildren, Shane Folmar (Michelle) of Lee County, GA and Clint (Kimberly) Folmar of Lee County, GA and a great-grandchild, Hayden Shealy and a step-great grandchild, Gage Clint Folmar.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral.
