Elizabeth Hatcher Taliaferro

Elizabeth Hatcher Taliaferro, 74, of Leesburg, GA died Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Lillian Carter Nursing Home in Plains, GA. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Leesburg Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate.

Born in Leesburg, GA, Mrs. Taliaferro had resided in Albany, GA most of her life, retiring from J.C. Penney's as their jewelry consultant. Sher was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her parents, Joe B. Hatcher, Sr. and Carrie Bell Atkinson Hatcher, her husband, Charles E. (Charlie) Taliaferro, and a sister, Shirley Hartsfield.

Survivors include a son, Wesley Taliaferro (Cathy), Lee County, GA, a daughter, Theresa Taliaferro Tucker, Jacksonville, FL, five grandchildren, Elizabeth Anne Wales, John W. Taliaferro, Amanda Lynn Tucker, Greggory R. Taliaferro, Halie Davis, and eleven great-grandchildren, and a brother, Joe B. Hatcher, Jr (Frances), Mitchell County, GA.

The family will receive friends following the graveside services at the cemetery.
