Edward "Jay" Morrison, a beloved figure in the lives of many, departed this world on November 21, 2025, at his residence. A visitation will be held in his honor at Mathews Funeral Home in Albany, GA, located at 3206 Gillionville Rd, on November 25, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
He was born on July 8, 1972, in Lexington, Ky, and through his 53 years, he left an indelible mark on all who knew him, especially during his dedicated career as an X-ray technician for 19 years at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Jay’s unwavering commitment to his work mirrored his dedication to his family and community.
Jay is remembered not only for his professional contributions but also for the joyous moments he cherished outside of work. An avid enthusiast of go-cart racing, he delighted in the thrill of the tracks on weekends. His heart, however, truly warmed at the sight of his grandchildren playing ball. There was nothing more fulfilling for Jay than to watch them grow and flourish, and he always treasured those family moments, where laughter and love filled the air.
He leaves behind a loving wife, Jennifer J. Morrison, and three daughters who were the pride of his life: Nicole Ramsey (Buddy), Mary Brumbley (Rusty), and Mona Garcia (Jose). Each of his daughters carries a piece of his spirit, embodying the kindness and joy he instilled in them. Jay is also survived by his beloved mother, Norma Corley Morrison, who provided him with a strong foundation of love and support throughout his life.
His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Adan, Alana, Alena, Averie, Bryson, Brystol, Ciera, Andrew, Chris, and Taylor. Each of them holds cherished memories of their grandpa and the countless ways he made their young lives colorful and meaningful.
Jay is preceded in death by his father, John Morrison, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms at the gates of heaven.
Those desiring may make memorials in memory of Edward (Jay) Morrison to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA, 22116.
