Edward Paul Duffy, Jr, 72, of Terrell County, GA, died May 27, 2025 at his residence. A Celebration of Life will be held June 6, 2025 at 4:00 pm at The Shackelford House with fellowship and refreshments to follow. Jay Dallas will officiate.
Paul was born on February 2, 1953 to the late Ed and Janie Duffy. He grew up in Albany, GA and graduated from Albany High School and attended Albany Junior College. Paul began his career as a sales representative for Mckesson Wine & Spirits, United Distributors and Republic National Distribution Company, experiences that laid the groundwork for his future success. He later founded The Winery, a family-owned well-loved fine wine shop in Albany, Georgia, where his dedication to education, hospitality, and community involvement left a lasting impact. Over the decades, he held key roles including General Manager, National Brand Manager, and Brand Ambassador for both boutique and international beverage companies, introducing and expanding brands like Ivanabitch Vodka, Espanita Tequila, and Lemmon Tree Imports to markets nationwide.
A passionate advocate for community causes, Paul created and led successful fundraisers such as The Wine Market for Girls, Inc. and The Spirited Evening benefiting the March of Dimes. He also taught continuing education wine classes at Albany State College, combining his love of wine with a dedication to mentorship and public service.
Paul will be remembered for his charisma, integrity, and tireless commitment to business excellence, but most of all for his deep love for community—always striving to uplift those around him and make a lasting difference in the lives he touched. His legacy lives on in the countless people and brands he helped grow, and in the spirited gatherings he brought to life."
Paul loved being on his farm, riding his tractor and maintaining his property. He was an avid hunter, however in his last years, instead of harvesting game, he loved to just call in turkeys and watch deer from his stand. Paul was an avid Bulldog Fan. Paul was preceded in death by his son, Ryan on May 18, 2025.
