Doris Elizabeth Meadows Morey

Doris Elizabeth Meadows Morey, 93, of Leesburg, GA passed away Monday, June 30, 2025 in Albany, GA. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery, 435 Pine Forest Road, Ochlocknee, GA, 31773. Family will officiate.

Mrs. Morey was born in Thomasville, GA  and was a homemaker most of her life. She attended Brannan Field Baptist Church until health kept her from attending.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mitch Meadows and Edna Harrison Meadows, husband, Harry Morey, a daughter, Lana Ward, a son, Stanley Morey, son-in-law, Donnie Ward, son-in-law, Bruce Smith, sister and brother-in-law, Geroline and George Morey, brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Carolyn Meadows, Vernon and Letha Meadows and brother-in-law, Leon Carlton.

Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Morey Ward, Leesburg, GA and Angela Cline and her husband Jim, North Carolina, Cynthia Smith, Florida, sister, Genvova Carlton, Worth County, GA, nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
