Doris Tanner Metts

Doris Tanner Metts, 79, of Albany, GA, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 at her residence.  Private graveside funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 am at Crown Hill Cemetery.  Mr. Ross Powell and Rev. Steve Youngblood will officiate.  Doris will lie in state at Mathews Funeral Home on Monday, March 19, 2018.

Born to the late Jack and Lessie Tanner, Doris grew up in Pearson, GA., and was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church.  She is preceded in death by her husband Elton Metts.

Survivors include her brothers Jack D. (Pearl) Tanner, David A. (Patricia) Tanner, six nephews John (Janice) Hendley, Michael S. (Janine) Hendley, Willis D. (Dana) Hendley, Michael (Candy) Tanner, Mark (Shelly) Tanner, and Matthew (Holly) Tanner, and four nieces Sandy (Eddie) Brady, Lynn (Robert) Cain, Tammy (Steve) Chesser, and Michelle (Paul) Morzarski.
