Donna Marie Prescott

Donna Marie Prescott, 65, of Albany, Georgia, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, at her residence. Funeral mass will be conducted Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Teresa's Catholic Church. Father Ray Leverault will officiate. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Sylvester, GA.

Born on January 30, 1960, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Donna was the daughter of Janice Ponthier and the late Nathan Ponthier. She grew up surrounded by family and laughter, qualities that would define her entire life.

A devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend, Donna shared thirty six wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Michael. Together, they built a life filled with love and joy, raising their cherished daughter, Kelly who was the center of Donna’s world and her proudest achievement. Her easygoing personality and warm, friendly nature drew people to her, while her contagious laugh had a way of brightening every room she entered. Donna made a career in restaurant management  where she cared deeply for her staff and customers.

Donna found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She had a lifelong love of music and attending concerts. The beach was her sanctuary—a place where she could bask in the sun and share lasting memories with family. At home, she adored her poodles, Chloe and Charlie, who were constant companions and brought her endless comfort and delight. A woman of faith, Donna was a lifelong Catholic whose quiet sincerity and compassion reflected her beliefs in everyday life.

Donna is survived by her husband, Michael Prescott; her daughter, Kelly Prescott – McDaniel (Jacob); granddaughter Madison McDaniel; her mother, Janice Ponthier; and her sisters, Denise (Jon) Fletcher, and Loretta (Brian) Williamson. She was preceded in death by her father, Nathan Ponthier, and her brother, David Ponthier.

Donna’s legacy of joy, warmth, and love will continue to live on through the lives she touched and the memories she left behind.

The family will receive friends Wednesday,  December 10, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
