Donald Douglas "Snuffy" Smith

Donald Douglas “Snuffy” Smith, 69, of Mitchell County, GA., died Monday, July 7, 2025 at his residence. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Ross Powell will officiate.

Donald was born in Mitchell County to the late Doug and Geraldine Smith. Earlier in his life he barrel raced horses with his father. Snuffy worked and retired from Georgia Power. He also worked in construction with Wetherald and Associates. Snuffy loved to fish and deer hunt up until his health declined.

He is survived by his wife Margie Pamela Smith, his son Chad Smith, his step children Johnny Kerce, Jr., Angie Kerce and Thomas Kerce, eight grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his brother Tim Smith, his sister Judy Lynn Pollock, and numerous, aunts, uncles. nieces, nephews and cousins.
