Donald "Don" Ross Dismuke, Sr. 81 of Albany, died Wednesday April 1, 2026 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.There are no formal services planned at this time.

Born in Eagle Pass, TX, Mr. Dismuke had lived in Albany all of his life. He graduated from Albany High School in 1963 and when he moved back from college he joined the family business at Dismuke Insurance where he was an insurance agent for 38 years until he retired in 2007.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ross H. and Thelma Moree Dismuke and nephew Casey Montgomery.

He is survived by his sons, Donald Ross Dismuke, Jr., Scott Dismuke, Daniel Dismuke and Logan Dismuke, grandchildren, Georgia Anne Dismuke, Jake Dismuke, Josie Dismuke, Hunter Dismuke, Adelyn Dismuke, Wyatt Dismuke, Bret Dismuke, Kala Dismuke, Reid Dismuke, great grandchildren, Lily Warner, Sadie Warner, Graysen Dismuke, Malachi Dismuke, Desmond Dismuke, a brother Richard Alan Dismuke, Sr. and his sister Nancy Oden, niece Mimi Montgomery, and nephews Richard Alan Dismuke, Jr and Andrew Dismuke.
