Ronald Wayne Bence, 54, of Leesburg, GA passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, while working diligently at his job. He was born in Albany, Georgia, to his parents, Betty Lou and Donald Bence, who owned and operated a local bait and tackle shop.
Growing up, Ronald enjoyed riding his bike around town, playing baseball, and expressing his creativity through drawing. He was naturally sociable and had a gift for making others laugh and feel at ease.
In his early adulthood, Ronald became the proud father of two daughters. He later married Kelly, gaining four additional children whom he loved as his own. Ronald took great pride in all six of his children and loved them deeply.
Ronald was a beloved husband, father, and friend. His larger-than-life personality filled every room with warmth, laughter, and comfort. He had a special place in his heart for children, animals, and anyone in need of a smile. His kindness and compassion touched countless lives, leaving lasting impressions on all who knew him.
Though Ronald’s earthly battles have concluded, his unforgettable spirit and heart of gold will live on in the cherished memories of those who loved him. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Edward Bence and Betty Lou Lokey Bence and a sister, Diane Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Kelly Wentzell, Leesburg, GA, children, Skylar Susanne Bence, Savannah Wayne Bence both of Albany, GA, Kat Wentzell, Seattle, WA, Daniel Wentzell, Leesburg, GA, Mikayla Wentzell, Leesburg, GA, Olivia Wentzell, brother, Donald E. Bence, Jr., (Camie), Albany, GA, grandchildren, Penelope Skye Bence, nieces and nephews, Jamie Bence, Kayla Bence, Cody Bence, David Michael Smith, Matthew Smith and Keri Smith.
Ronald's family will hold a Celebration of Life on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm, at the VFW Post 2785, 315 Philema Road, Albany, GA 31705.
