Dennis P. "Denny" Walters

Dennis P. “Denny” Walters, 61, of Morgan, GA, passed away at his residence on January 5, 2026. Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, 1/8/26 at 11:00 am at Rose of Sharon Cemetery in Doerun, GA.  Rev. Charles Jones will officiate. 

Denny was born on January 21, 1964 to Carol and Dave Walters. He grew up in Albany, GA and moved with his family at age 14 to Morgan, GA. Denny graduated from Calhoun County High School in 1982. He enjoyed helping people, playing Nintendo, word search and the old TV Shows.

Survivors include his parents, Carol and Dave Walters and a sister, Amber (Mike) Griner all of Morgan, GA, his nieces, Ashley (Weston) Tabor, great-nieces Ama, Abi, Ashtyn and Alayna Tabor of Hamilton, AL., and Celeste (Joe) Benes of Decatur, GA., a great-nephew, Baker Benes, Shaun (Kevin) Michael of Puyallup, WA. His special friends Mae Cheney of Edison, GA, Sue and Buddy Thornton of Longwood, FL, Mark Strickland of Morgan, GA and numerous others.

Denny was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marilee and Donald Walters and his maternal grandparents, Lillian and Truett Eller, and a sister, Lisa Walters.

Denny’s favorite time of year was Christmas. He and his mama made reindeer food numerous years for his special friends. He was his dad’s bicycle riding partner. Dennis was always happy and loving. The first thing you always saw was his contagious smile! Dennis will ALWAYS be in our hearts and he will never be forgotten.
