Delores Hall Ford

Delores Hall Ford, 82, of Leesburg, GA passed away Friday, April 3, 2026 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Sherwood Baptist Church Chapel. Rev. Jim McBride and Rev. John Spencer will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Delores lived a life rooted in faith, generosity, and devotion to those she loved. Alongside her husband, they built a life that reflected Christ in both word and action, always seeking ways to give to others and serve her community. She had a deep love for her family, especially her grandchildren, and found great joy in the relationships she cultivated and in the many ministries she supported.

She was known for her hospitality and warmth, particularly during the years she and husband, Dean, welcomed guests to their hunting plantation, where she lovingly prepared meals and created an environment that made everyone feel at home. In her later years, her focus turned even more deeply toward her family and her faith in Jesus Christ, which remained at the center of her life. She had a heart for sharing that faith with others, often pairing words of encouragement with a chick-fil-A card to brighten someone’s day.

Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by parents, James Jackson Hall, Sr. and Mary D. Herring Hall, her husband, Troy Dean Ford and a brother James Jackson Hall, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Tracie Dean Ford Howell, grandchildren, Marcus Allen Ford, Brandon Burrell Howell and Brooklyn Mckenzi Howell all of Birmingham, AL, siblings, Robert (Bobby) Eugene Hall, Harriette Stanford and Karen Ross all of Albany, GA., Beverly Waters of Pooler, GA.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour in the atrium of Sherwood Baptist Church.
