David Toholsky

David James Toholsky of Desoto, Texas, and formerly of Albany, passed away January 10, 2026 from liver cancer.

David was born February 8, 1960 in Philadelphia, PA. He grew up in Woodbridge, VA before moving to Albany in 1973. He attended Dougherty Junior High and Dougherty High School, graduating in 1978. He graduated from Albany Junior College before moving to Atlanta where he earned a BBA in Finance from Georgia State University.

David is preceded in death by his mother, Marian Helene Toholsky, and his grandparents. He is survived by his father, Ralph Toholsky (Judy) of Albany, his identical twin brother, Daniel Toholsky (Karen), of Woodstock, Ga, his sister, Theresa Nichols of Arvada, Colorado, and his children, Joshua, Madison and Jacob Toholsky of Dallas, Texas, and Aaron (Jodeci) Toholsky of Culloeka, Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews.

David’s life will be celebrated at a service at Mathews Funeral Home in Albany on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM, followed by burial at Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening, January 23, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
