David R. McCool

David Raymond McCool, 67, of Lee County, GA, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at The Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home, Dr. Gary Kirkendall will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery with Military Honors.

David was born in Chino, CA. on July 13, 1958 to Ralph and Bettye McCool. He was employed with The Marine Corps Logistic Base for 15 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Steele McCool.

Survivors include his wife, Amy Carolyn McCool, his son, David S. (Amanda) McCool, his mother, Bettye (Sam) Hartline, his sisters, Debbie Bailey, Judy Carrera and Donna (Gary) Kirkendall, nephews, Anthony Moody, Brandon (Carly) Murphy, Matthew (Amber) Bailey and Daniel (Brooke) Kirkendall and a niece, Kara (Chris) Bishop, and grandchildren Declan and Skylar McCool.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home.
