Danny John "D.J." Yeatts

Danny John “D.J.” Yeatts, 57, of Albany, GA, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026. A graveside memorial service will be held Monday, August 17, 2026 at 10:00 am at Leesburg Cemetery. Mr. Ross Powell will officiate.

D.J. was a native and lifelong residence of Albany, GA, born on December 13, 1968 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Growing up he played tennis and graduated from Dougherty High School in 1986. D.J. was employed in the furniture business, worked with Roommakers and Automative Irrigation Controls.

DJ marched to the beat of his own drums. He did things his way and took pride in enjoying his own company. He was a simple man who loved his parents, sons, fishing, music and animals. An avid musician whose ideal day would be jamming with his electric guitar to the rock and roll legends. He was a top performer in sales, enjoyed hands-on work and was an excellent chef. Although he was a homebody much of his life, his later years were spent amongst friends and family at Pruitt. He enjoyed his friendships and daily coffee dates.

Survivors include his mother, Judy (George) McIntosh of Lee County, GA, his sons, Justin (Joanna) Yeatts of Albany, GA and Kirk Yeatts of Dawson, GA, a step-brother, Jarrett (Molly) McIntosh of Atlanta, GA and a step-sister, Heather (Mark) Stanley of Gainesville, GA.
