Danny Furman Jacobs

.Danny F. Jacobs, 62, of Forsyth, GA, died Friday September 30, 2011 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon, GA. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday October 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. David Benton will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

A native of Andalusia, AL, Mr. Jacobs had resided in Albany, GA where he attended school and graduated. He was a Vietnam War Veteran serving in the Navy aboard the USS Ronquil. He was an industrial engineer employed with KBR, a member of the Holmesville Lodge #195 F & AM in Baxley, GA and was a member of the Congregational Methodist Church in Milner, GA

Survivors include his wife, Judy Campbell Jacobs, Forsyth, GA, two sons, Erik Jacobs (Stacy), Dalton, GA, Brian Jacobs, Macon, GA, a step-son, Thomas Leanza, Jr., Albany, GA, a step-daughter, Melanie Bacon (Neil), Leesburg, GA his parents, Dan and Edith Jacobs, Panama City, FL, a brother, Kent Jacobs (Debbie), Bagdad, FL and nine grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers those desiring may make memorials to the American Heart Association, 1101-1 Northchase Pky., Marietta, GA, 30067 American Cancer Society, 323 Ave., Albany, GA, 31701 or Congregational Methodist Church, 219 Rock Springs Rd., Milner, GA, 30257

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
