Daisy Belle Todd Horne

Daisy Belle Todd Horne, 92, of Albany, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Mathews Funeral Home at 11:00 Am. . Interment will follow to Floral Memory Gardens. Rev. Grady Morey and Rev. Joey Roundtree will officiate

She was born on August 4, 1933, in Hartsfield, Georgia, to the late Alvin and Nanie Belle Todd. Throughout her life, Daisy dedicated herself to being a homemaker, creating a warm and inviting home for her family. She was particularly passionate about baking, with her famous red velvet cake being a well-loved treat among family and friends. Daisy found great joy in speaking with others and loved to talk on the phone, always connecting with those she held dear.

Daisy was a woman of deep faith and found solace in her church at Westview Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Above all, her family was the center of her world, and she especially adored her grandchildren.

Daisy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald E. Horne, Sr., as well as her siblings: Durelle Reynolds, Emmitt Reynolds, James Monroe Reynolds, Bernard Todd, Kathrene Mildred Braley, Cornelia Nita Todd Owens and Jeremy Parten. 

She is survived by her four sons: Donnie Horne (Joy) of Albany, GA; David Horne (Sharon) of Lincoln, AL; Mark Horne (Cathy) of Albany, GA; and Tim Horne (Cheryl) of Baconton, GA. Her grandchildren; Trae Horne, Christa Horne Harper, Eric Tucker, Marcus Horne, Zachary Horne, Chad Edwards, Crystal Edwards, Samantha Derenoff, Stefanie Henderson, Laken Turner, Savannah Tyson, Kaitlyn Hendley, Jacob Horne, Daniel Horne, Luke Horne, Caleb, Horne, Landon Horne, Allen Parten, many great- grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Mathews Funeral Home, on December 4, 2025 one hour prior to the funeral service.
