Colleen Hughes Craver Chappell

Colleen Hughes Craver Chappell, 94, of Albany, GA passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Willson Hospice House. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Chris Hall and Rev. Douglas H. Craver will officiate.

Born in Wilmington, NC, Mrs. Chappell had resided in Albany, GA since 1961. She was retired from the Dougherty County School System and was a member of Mercedes Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Colie and Anna Shipman Hughes and her husband, Robert Patrick (Bobby) Chappell, Jr.

Survivors include her children, Jack L. Craver (Misha), Alexander City, AL, Charles L. (Buddy) Craver, III, (Marie) Bogart, GA, Mike A. Craver (Joanne), Tallahassee, FL, Rev. Douglas H. Craver (Kathy), Mansfield, GA, Sandra Moody (Mike), Leesburg, GA, Robin Wingate, Leesburg, GA, Patti Duncan (Rick), Albany, GA, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 29, 2022 at Mathews Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
