Claudia Denise Jackson

Denise was born on January 26, 1954 in Dothan, AL to Claude and Norma Fox. In her early years her family moved to Albany, GA where she grew up graduated from Albany High School in 1972.  Denise met her future husband and the love of her life, Jay Jackson, when she was working at Winn-Dixie as a cashier and he was working as a bagboy. They were married faithfully for 32 years and rarely left each other’s side.

She moved to Lee County, GA in 2003 and retired as a patient care representative with Lincare following many years in the health care profession.  Denise was a member of The First Baptist Church of Leesburg and the Xi Beta Lambda Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Albany Chapter where she made friendships that would span the remainder of her years.  She loved, above all things, her family and spending time with the kids, grandkids and extended family, taking road trips, sitting on the beach, listening to good music, going to concerts, and an occasional trip to the casino and cheering Alabama football, ROLL TIDE.  In addition to her parents and her sister Nona, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Jay Jackson Jr. 

Survivors include her children, Trey Jackson (Brandi) and Mandy Warren (Jared) all of Lee County, GA and Kylie Jacobs (Brandon) of Perry, GA, her siblings, Janet Harris (Ricky) of Bonaire, GA, Rex Fox(Lisa) of Montgomery, TX, Kip Fox (Toni) of Columbus, GA, Trena Bailey (Ken) of Prattville, AL and Teri Walker (Trey) of Hope Hull, AL, her grandchildren, Cassidy Warren (Dawson Lee), Brittlyn Jackson (fiance’, Dale Willis), Chris Warren, Logan Jacobs, Kade Jackson and Jaydon Jackson.
