Christopher Lee Sanchez

Christopher Lee Sanchez, 39, of Albany, Georgia, passed away on April 21, 2026, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2026, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.

Christopher was born on June 22, 1986 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He could fill a room with light and joy with his sense of humor and mere presence; always putting a smile on everyone’s face and always made it his life’s mission to bring happiness to others. His love for his family ran deep and steady, shaping who he was in every way. He loved his brothers and sister very much, and his mother was a deeply important and cherished part of his life. He was especially devoted to his nieces and nephews, whom he loved so very much and always held a special place in his heart.

He will be remembered not only for the joy he gave so freely, but for the love he carried so naturally. His laughter echoes on in the memories of those who were lucky enough to know him, and his spirit lives on in every smile he inspired. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

He is survived by his father Amos Sanchez of Taft, Texas; his mother, Irene Ramos of Rockport, Texas; his brothers David (Jennifer) Sanchez of Richmond, Virginia; Andy (Ashley) Sanchez of Leesburg, Georgia; Michael (Jessica) Sanchez of Atlanta, Georgia; his loving sister Lisa Sanchez of Dallas, Georgia; Grandmother, Mary Castro of Rockport, Texas; and 11 beautiful nieces and nephews. And his best friend of 22 years Angie (Okley) Smith of Macon, Georgia.

Christopher was preceded in death by his grandparents Amador and Guadalupe Sanchez of Taft, Texas; Claudio Rodriguez Lara of Rockport, Texas; who will welcome him into eternal rest.
