Christopher D. "Chris" Edmunds

Christopher D. “Chris” Edmunds, 62, of Albany, GA, passed away July 24, 2026 at The Willson Hospice House. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am at Roberts Cemetery in Miller County, GA. Bobby Smith will officiate.

Chris was a native and lifelong resident of Albany, GA. He was born on September 27, 1963 to the late, Gene and Dorothy Edmunds. He graduated from Albany High School in 1981 and continued his education at Albany Technical College. Chris was employed with Cooper Tire Company for the seventeen years it was open and then was employed with Command Industries. Chris enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, UGA football, Florida State football and the Atlanta Falcons. He adored his wife and sharing his hobbies with her over the years. He enjoyed nothing more than teaching his boys & grand children all about fishing & hunting. He spent many weekends fishing with his sons. All of his grandchildren brought him so much joy & he loved to spoil them.

Survivors include his wife, Denise Edmunds of Albany, GA, his sons, Wesley (Megan) Edmunds of Albany, GA and Brandon (Halie) Edmunds of Putney, GA, his step-sons, Wesley (Kenyatta) Odum of Albany, GA and Blake (Sarah) Odum of Thomasville, GA his nephews, Alan Edmunds, Kyle (Courtney) Edmunds and Jake Edmunds all of Lee County, GA, a brother, Mike (Holly) Edmunds of Lee County, and his grandchildren, Asher, Maislie, Reese, Canaan, Harley, Cameron, Trinity, Chase and Noah.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at Mathews Funeral Home.

Family headquarters will be at the home of Brandon and Halie Edmunds, 1532 Broach Ave., Putney, GA
