Cheryl Wells

Cheryl “Cherie” Wells,66, of Valdosta, GA., died Thursday, August 28, 2025 at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cherie was born at Camp Lejune in Jacksonville, NC., to the late MGySgt Charles Wells and Jeanne Fontaine Wells. She graduated from Dougherty High School in 1977 and later worked at the Marine Corps Logistics Base and retired after many years of faithful service. Cherie loved to go on adventures with her girlfriends and travel the world, but her favorite place to go was the beach. She had a deep love for her animals and all animals in general. Most importantly, she loved her children and adored her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Daniel Wells (Michelle) and Robert Morris (Becky), her daughter Trista Wiggins (Landon), her sisters, Missy Ross (Charlie) and Peggy Bessolo (Joe). her grandchildren, Emmet, Dylan, Delilah, Ethan and Edge and three nieces and two nephews.
