Charlotte Cox Hazen

Charlotte Cox Hazen, 71,of Lee County died Monday, July 13, 2026 at her home.

A native of Camilla, Mrs. Hazen had lived in Lee County since 1986, and attended Albany High School and retired from MCLB and was a member of Grace City Church.

She loved to play the piano, read, cook, travel (especially to the mountains), but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Cox, and her parents, Haywood and Joyce Brooks, as well as her daughter, Heather Griffin.

Survivors include her husband, Kevin Hazen, her children, Kristen Burchfield (Jason), Brooke Hawk (Thad), Erick Hazen (Brandy), grandchildren, Brock, Lauren, Ryan, Brody, Caden, Wyatt, Brantley, Dylan, Brooks, Bexley, her sister Karen Cox, and her four-legged children, Riley and Lucy. She is also survived by her beloved cousin Barbara Green and a host of other family and friends.
