Charles Lamar "Charlie" Stripling, 86, of Leary, GA passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Leary City Cemetery, Leary, GA.

Born July 14, 1939 in Moultrie, Ga, Charles Lamar Stripling, Sr. served his country in the Navy, was a member of Leary Baptist Church and worked for the State of Georgia Department of Transportation as a foreman for many years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing. 

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Bernard Stripling and Mattie Hammond Stripling, sister, Doris Tillman, brother, Bobby Stripling, sister, Judy Dunn, brother, William (Billy) Stripling, sister-in-law, Mildred Stripling, nephew-in-law, Charlie Phillips, nephew, Andy Stripling, Lynn Tillman and niece, Cornelia Kent.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine Norton Stripling, Leary, children, Charles "Chuck" Lamar Stripling, Jr. (Edie) and Sonja Stripling Stroyls, Leary, GA, brother, David Stripling (Ann), Moultrie, GA, sister, Alice Faye Wingate and Dr. Banks Wingate, Moultrie, GA, brother-in laws, Bobby Norton (Astrid), Leary, GA and Buford Norton and Marilyn, Albany, GA., nieces and nephews, Karen Sanderson (Tommy), Joy Phillips, Gina Dismuke (Marty), Cyndi Grimard, James Dunn, Melissa  Martinez (Jimmy), Alan Norton (Devonna), Lori Stripling (Eric), Carol James (Gene), Terrell Stripling (Julie).
