Cecil "Neil" Rustin, Jr.

Neil Rustin, 71, of Albany, GA, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.  Graveside memorial services will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 11:00 am at Crown Hill Cemetery with Ross Powell officiating.

Neil was born on January 18, 1952 in Albany, GA to the late Betty and Cecil Rustin.  He graduated from Albany High School in 1970 and received his Associates Degree from ABAC.  After college, Neil joined the Georgia National Guard.

Neil was an economist, entrepreneur and inventor and during his career, he circumnavigated the globe.  Neil’s methane gas capturing system is used on abandoned oil wells.  He loved trains, spending time on his boat in Carrabelle, FL, music and animals.

Survivors include his wife, Celeste Rustin, his aunt, Helen Cox and many family members and friends.
