Cathie Marie Snelson

Cathie Marie Snelson of Albany, GA., died Saturday, December 10, 2022 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Brandon Turner will officiate. Order of the Eastern Star funeral services will be performed by Crepe Myrtle Chapter # 163. Interment will be held at Andersonville National Cemetery at 2:00 pm.

A native of Wilmington, DE., Mrs. Snelson had resided in Albany since 1968 moving from Marietta. She graduated from Dougherty County High School in 1976 and went on to attend Albany Vocational Technical School. Mrs. Snelson loved crafts, computer, fishing and photography. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Crepe Myrtle #163. Mrs. Snelson drove a school bus for the Dougherty County School System for thirty years.

Survivors include her husband, Glen Snelson, a daughter, Chrystal Ball, a son Michael Snelson (Jessica), a daughter Kimberly “Kim” Anderson, a brother, Charles E. Masters, Jr., five grandchildren, Tony Anderson (Kristy), Daniel Ball, Jr., Catirina Ball, Makenna Snelson, Cohen Snelson and three great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
