Carolyn Juliette Harris Lofton

Carolyn Juliette Harris Lofton, formally of Dawson, GA, died Sunday, October 8, 2023 in Delta Junction Alaska. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Travis Hoague, Jack Harris and Rev. Calvin Stephens will officiate.

Born in Morgan/Calhoun County to the late Grady and Estelle Harris; she was the fifth of ten children. Juliette loved her family with all her heart. She enjoyed talking to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, hearing about their school and accomplishments. She would spend hours watching Hallmark Christmas movies and listening to Elvis Presley songs. Juliette always had her Bible open and would read a daily verse. She was a member of Dawson Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wiley Lofton, a sister Elizabeth Smith and four brothers, Harvey Harris, Gene Harris, Red Harris and Wayne Harris.

Survivors include her children- Travis Hoague (Nadine), Michelle Massey (James) and Jason Lofton (Lindsay), her brother Donnie Harris, three sisters, Phyllis Parker, Joan Brand and Gwynne Tripp, nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
