Carolyn B. Ivey

Carolyn B. Ivey of Leesburg, GA., died Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Willson Hospice House. A graveside service will be held Friday, January 2, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Andersonville National Cemetery. Rev. Debbie Cone will officiate.

Carolyn was born in Welcome, GA., to the late George and Mary Bridges. She was a military wife and supported and cared for the family while her husband was deployed. Carolyn was an avid reader and enjoyed good books. Her care showed for others as she enjoyed hosting friends and family at special occasions. Carolyn was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and stayed active in her family’s life. She was a member of the American Legion Post #30 Ladies Auxillary, Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class and a member of Avalon Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband James C. Ivey, Jr. and a brother Steve Bridges.

Survivors include her children Rita Edinger (John) of Goose Creek, SC, Randy Ivey (Sabrina) of Warner Robins, GA and Kim Glass (Jim) of Lee County, GA, her grandchildren, Ivey Christmas (Stephen), Ben Glass (Emmie), Blaine Ivey, Danielle Levine (Nick), Blake Ivey (Brittany) and Meredyth Arambulo (Ricky) of Albany, GA and 10 great-grandchildren.
