Carlton (Carl) Shelby Bailey

Carlton (Carl) S. Bailey, 85, of Albany, GA, died Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow in the Morgan Methodist Church Cemetery.

A native of Calhoun County, GA, Mr. Bailey had resided in Albany, GA most of his adult life. He graduated from Calhoun County High School and was employed with Albany Coca Cola for many years and retired from Albany Beverage Company in 1989. Mr. Bailey was a member of Avalon United Methodist Church and was a lifetime member of The Loyal Order of The Moose #1285. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Beth Clenney Bailey.

Survivors include two sons, Dean Bailey and his wife, Beth of Albany, GA and James Bailey of Stockbridge, GA, a grandson, John Tompkins and his wife, Tina of Sylvester, GA and four great-grandchildren, Nicole Tompkins, Lauren Tompkins, Jessica Tompkins and Shelby Tompkins.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
