Brenda Kay Salter

Brenda Kay Salter, 71, of Worth County, GA, passed away August 24, 2025 at Piedmont-Atlanta Hospital. Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Joe Brown will officiate.

Brenda was a native of Atlanta, GA born to the late Charles and Shirley Elder. After High School, she got into her blue pinto and moved to Eatonton, GA. From there she moved to Albany, GA where she worked as a Beautician. Brenda was a member of Bridgeboro Baptist Church and was employed as a Medical Assistant with Albany Urology for over 30 years.

Brenda loved spending time with her family and friends, traveling, going the beach and taking cruises. She adored hummingbirds and collected dolphins.

Survivors include her life partner of 26 years, Billy Cox of Worth County, GA, her sister, Tracie Godfrey (Jeff) of Conley, GA, her niece, Casey Soper of Lake City, GA, a nephew, Jonathan Godfrey of Stockbridge, GA and a great-niece, Carson Williams of Lake City, GA.
