Billy Junior Bridges

Billy Junior Bridges, 77, of Albany, GA, died Friday, August 16, 2013, at his residence. Memorial services will be Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at Mathews Funeral Home at 4:00 p.m.

A native of Sylvester, GA, Mr. Bridges had lived in Albany for most of his life. He was a machinist at Flint River Textile Mill for 20 years. Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by his parents, Judson and Lizzie Bridges, and three sisters, Helen Childree, Grace Calhoun, and Mary Blankenship.

Survivors include his brother, Earl Bridges (Wanda) of Albany, and two sisters, Betty Lou Posey of Sylvester, GA, and Jo Ann Caulder (Lamar) of Lakeland, FL.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
