Billie Brooks Williams, 88, of Leesburg, GA, died June 16, 2011 at Lee County Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 20, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Dr. Charlie Rouse will officiate. Interment will follow in Andersonville National Cemetery with full Military Honors.

A native of Baconton, GA, Mr. Williams was born to his parents, Oswell Levere Williams and Connie Virginia Watters Williams and had lived most of his life in Albany, GA. He retired as a TSGT in the Air Force serving during WWII, Korean and Vietnam Conflicts. Mr. Williams was a retired Aircraft Mechanic with Ayres Aircraft Corporation and attended Liberty Baptist Church and served many years as a deacon at East Albany Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Hodges Daniel Williams.

Survivors include three sons, David Williams and his wife, Sher of FL, Jack Williams and his wife, Diane Williams of Dawson, GA and Steve Williams and Betty Warren (girlfriend) of Albany, GA, two daughters and their husbands, Martha and Melvin Lee of Lexington, SC and Jill and Joe Searcy of Leesburg, GA, two brothers, James Williams of Jacksonville, FL and Lamar Williams of nine grandchildren, P.J. Searcy, Melinda Joiner, Catherine Williams, Cinamon Williams, Matthew Williams, Jeffrey Lee, Michael Williams, Shane Williams and Tiffany Williams and eight great-grandchildren.

Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942

The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
