Betty Jo Wilson Taylor, 86, of Albany, died Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Lee County Health and Rehab.

Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2026 at First Free Will Baptist Church with internment to follow in Floral Memory Gardens.

A native of Ponce De Leon, FL, Mrs. Taylor had lived in Albany most of her life. She retired from JcPenny as an Office Manager after 38 years. After retirement she continued with medical transcription for 10 years. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. Some of her favorite things to do were shopping, work in her yard, going out to eat with her husband Jerome and being with her family. 

Survivors include her husband Jerome Taylor, daughter, Donna Kaye Barwick (James), stepson, Derek Taylor, grandchildren, Jade Paige Lewis (Brandon), Chad Paige, Olivia Jernigan, great grandchildren, Logan Lewis, Sawyer Lewis, Hudson Paige, Benton Paige, Callahan Paige, sisters, Barbara McGarvie, Kathy Clark and a brother, Robert Lowrey (Cindy).

The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the funeral service at First Free Will Baptist Church.
